Who knows the future ? Specifically if use future in technology world, we meant nothing / uncertainty / unclear.
But what is the next big thing ? May be Internet of Things or IoT.
What is it ?
This is a term for a connected world. Connected ????…. wait, connected to what ? Connected to every or most of the objects around us. How they are connected? They are connected via the network or internet. The objects can be anything a car,a bus, a table, a watch in your hand,a cellphone etc. Each on of these can talk to each other and share information with each other. As if they are talking and sharing thoughts.
Definition (roughly) :
The Internet of Things (IoT) is the network of physical objects or “things” embedded with electronics, software, sensors, and network connectivity, which enables these objects to collect and exchange data
“Things,” in the IoT sense, can refer to a wide variety of devices examples : heart monitoring implants, bio-chip transponders on farm animals, electric clams in coastal waters,automobiles with built-in sensors, These devices collect useful data with the help of various existing technologies and then autonomously flow the data between other devices. Current market examples include smart thermostat systems and washer/dryers that use Wi-Fi for remote monitoring.
