If you have noticed in your orgs you will now see a Optimizer report : Salesforce Optimizer Report. This is a new Winter 17 feature. Let’s see what it does for you and how much helpful it is.
Salesforce Optimizer Report
Go to setup and quick find > Type “Optimizer”. You will see a screen like the below:
Once you click the launch button you will see a screen like below. Wait for some time and if the below settings are correct then you will get an email with the report attached to it. The report is in PDF format and also available in your salesforce files. Show in the image below.
1. You must have the email delivery set to All Emails
2. User Permissions : “Customize Application” and “Modify All Data”
Optimizer is a powerful tool that provides recommendations for how to improve some features in your Salesforce implementation. However, Optimizer only analyzes a subset of features across Salesforce.
Salesforce Optimizer Report evaluates the below features as of now. But may be we can expect some more features to this list:
- Fields
- Apex triggers
- Page layouts
- Report types
- Validation rules
- Workflow rules
- Sharing rules
- Administrator permissions
What’s in This Report?
Salesforce analyses your Salesforce implementation to determine how your company uses certain features. They then identified a few ways that you can improve your implementation for your company.
How Do I Use This Report?
Review your report to learn about tweaks you need to make to your implementation so your users can get the most out of Salesforce. Throughout this report, Salesforce includes concrete recommendations that you can implement in Salesforce. It gives you a detailed observations, which is really a great help for you to improved the quality of your organization.
